NEW CLAUSIUS GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMP INSTALLATION IN PORTO, IN A HOUSE DESIGNED BY A RENOWNED PORTUGUESE ARCHITECT
At CLAUSIUS, we continue to bring high-efficiency geothermal technology to projects where architecture, design and sustainability come together at the highest level.
A new installation of a Clausius HC 5-25 PC DS heat pump has recently been completed in Porto (Portugal), integrated into an exclusive detached house designed by a prestigious Portuguese architect, one of the most internationally recognised figures in contemporary architecture.

The CLAUSIUS system has been designed to meet all the heating, cooling and domestic hot water requirements of the home through a single, highly efficient solution:
- Heating in winter, ensuring maximum comfort with minimal energy consumption.
- Cooling in summer, utilising the high efficiency of the geothermal system.
- Passive cooling: providing cooling with extremely low energy consumption and operating costs, offering a significant technological advantage over air-source heat pumps.
- Domestic Hot Water (DHW) production at high temperatures through a desuperheater. This allows DHW or pool heating to be produced simultaneously with either space heating or cooling, maximizing the overall efficiency of the system.
This installation perfectly represents the CLAUSIUS philosophy: developing technologically advanced, efficient and environmentally responsible solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into high-end architectural projects.
We continue to demonstrate that geothermal energy is one of the key technologies for the future of sustainable climate control in Europe.
