CLAUSIUS HIGH-CAPACITY PROPANE GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

For the past six years, CLAUSIUS has been developing an advanced range of high-capacity Ground Source Heat Pumps using propane (R290) as a refrigerant. This range consists of seven models, with capacities ranging from 35 kW to 190 kW in a single unit. In addition, these heat pumps are designed for cascade installations of up to six units, enabling systems with capacities exceeding 1 MW. The result is a product family specifically designed to meet the demands of large residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

All heat pumps in this range are equipped with inverter-driven compressors, and all components are manufactured in Europe by well-established and highly respected European suppliers. This reflects the CLAUSIUS commitment, since day one, to designing and manufacturing heat pumps of the highest quality, reliability, and efficiency.

This high-capacity propane heat pumps range has been commercially available from CLAUSIUS for more than a year, and its technology has already been thoroughly proven in a wide variety of installations demonstrating its reliability and performance under demanding operating conditions.

This range of high-capacity propane heat pumps includes two series with the following models:

STRONG P Series, comprising four compact models with capacity ranges of 7 to 35 kW, 12 to 55 kW, 15 to 75 kW and 20 to 95 kW.

STRONG DOUBLE P Series, comprising three models featuring two completely independent refrigeration circuits integrated into a single unit. Each module operates independently, providing built-in redundancy and exceptional reliability. Even in the unlikely event of a circuit shutdown, the second module continues operating, ensuring uninterrupted service. This series includes three models with capacity ranges of 12 to 115 kW, 15 to 150 kW and 20 to 190 kW.

Each of the seven models in this heat pumps range can be configured for heating, active cooling and high-temperature domestic hot water (DHW) production through integrated desuperheaters. In addition all models are prepared for passive cooling production through external modules of up to 150 kW, fully designed, manufactured, and tested by CLAUSIUS.

All CLAUSIUS propane heat pumps fully comply with the requirements of European Standards EN 60335-2-40:2023 and EN 378 (ISO 5149), incorporating all necessary safety measures required for the use of propane. CLAUSIUS also provides guidance and support to its customers regarding the implementation of the safety measures required for the installation and operation of our heat pumps.
